I worked for this rich mother fucker in NYC who had a chain of health clubs. he purposely hired undocumented workers to man the locker rooms, etc., and then after they had worked there for awhile told them, ooooops, no paycheck for you. You need to live on tips. There was a middle aged Eastern Europena woman in there sobbing in may arms because she didn't know what would happen to her. I was like 21. I didn't know how to help her. It was just awful.
