My last laptop was a MacBook Air. I opened a bottle of creme soda from *eight feet away* -- it hadn't been shaken, but I didn't want to take a chance, so I got WAY far away from my desk. It foamed up anyway -- or, more like... DETONATED, and sprayed the laptop from that far away. Fried the fucking thing.

I am not a techie lol. When I need help like that, I ask Joo. Laptops break easily and cost too much to fix

Now, I liked the software available for macOS. Some of that shit just does not have Windows equivalents when it comes to features and polish. DevonThink Pro, Ulysses, Nisus Writer Pro, Scrivener... the best software available, and for some of it, there's no Windows equivalent. But... Apple is getting more woke than I'm willing to put up with, and their partnership with Google raises serious privacy concerns. Plus, iPadOS is still not desktop-class.
