Iguaçu would be the right spelling, but Iguassu is also right, since the c-tilde is not a common symbol

I think the Niagara falls are taller, but Iguaçu falls tend to have more water volume

No, the Falls are in Brazil's South. The Amazon basin is way up north.

Visiting the Amazon forest is easy, a lot of eco tourism going on there, you can find several resorts or even a hotel that has the Amazon in the backyard

But IMO, seeing it from above is the best way to get a glimpse of the sheer size of that forest

I'd go there during the dry season, that way you can see more and the heat is less intense

They also have "river cruises", which are expensive, but definitely one of the best ways to see the Amazon river and the riverside people
