I hang my clothes in my barn. I could get a dryer if I wanted one. I just don't give two shits. Hanging your clothes is kind of therapeutic, imo. I hung my clothesover the alley in the back 6 years ago, when we were living in an apartment in Porto. Not there anymore.

I was reading about a stunning archeological find in Portugal on my feed. Something about neanderthals. Cool you're not in the stone slum tenements anymore. You got a barn? Old barns are cool. Yours must be hundreds of years old.

You don't have to explain to me. Did you buy the house cheap, taking advantage of hard-presses Portogee peasants? I hear that's a problem over there in the 2nd world. House flippers buy up shit cheap and drive the locals out of the market.

Locustbug flipped her shitty Cali suburb home to get the money to live better than her Portuguese neighbours... it's what socialists do... take advantage.

We once had shitty Cali couples doing that and moving here.... then our housing market became MORE expensive than Cali....and they all fled crying into their soy lattes :LOL3:

I was reading where you can scoop up 600 year old Italian seaside villas for like a buck. UK and US expats flocked in and drove up the real estate market so much the locals couldn't afford to live there anymore.

Yes, they were selling italian homes very cheaply. They were all in villages that were losing population, and the buyer had to commit to spending a certain amount to upgrade the house. I don't know how many expats flocked in there.

I saw a few listings that were totally cool. I wouldn't minded a seaside villa in some dago bodunk town in Calabria. I'd have done clandestine digs and sold antiquities on the black market.
