Why, thanks for the go ahead, Fred. It would be about English people who buy a stone ruin to remodel and expect to be treated like royalty by all the Portugues tradespeople.

We, the English and Americans, have a pretty good time making fun of each other here. I have a friend -- I have several very food English friends -- who when he was young, because of his work, adopted a posh accent. He still speaks that way, to the estent that I cannot understand him. He muches all his words ariund. I make fun of him relentlessly, and he gives me shit for my California accent. He's the one who told me I should just speak English here in Portugal.

I take a Portuguese class with all English people. They are always asking me how to say things in American, because we often don't understand each other. Like they had no idea what I was talking about when I said "Can of soup."
