I can think of a few possible explanations, Jack. None of them good. Maybe they're morons and didnn't realize the repurcussions of publicizing the texts. Maybe they're confident they can ram through a conviction with or without crucial pieces of evidence. Or maybe... they don't plan on having to worry about evidence because the shooter is marked to be Epstein'd before making it to trial. Or it could be something else entirely, I reckon.
