we went to an art opening, an old dead advisor of mine from college in the 70's was a prolific painter and was having a show, then we went to a movie.

his son curated the show. I had two of the paintings up in my dorm room back then and it was interesting to see his work and talk to his son about how I knew his dad

it was more bitter than the original story and the killings were brutal

nice to see King's work translated back to film again. His stories made some of the best movies, like "The Shining"
