Where I live is paradise except for the sometimes extreme weather.

No, never been to that side of the world at all

@Jack we had a pretty bad winter here so I’m preparing for a brutal hot summer… still haven’t acclimated since Seattle perfect summers

I LOVED Juarez.

I got all the way down to Oaxaca before I headed back

I love the cathedrals… even though they wiped out the indigenous tribes

@Fredricka my daughter just got back from her trip England/Ireland/Sweeden

Lucky her! Where did she go in England murdy?

Yeah Murdy. Lived in santa fe then, went to Juarez tosee it, and then this thing happened with the van we were driving, so we were going to be down there for a few days. So we thumbed our way south and rented a car to get our van back.

we hitchiked. we were hippies. It was really fun.

 

[Jack]

got a ride on a farm truck with about 20 other nationals. It was remarkable.

@Jack ~ I won’t go down there without a male Spanish speaking companion… I’m a weenie lol

well this was 1977 or 8

I couldn’t even go to the boardwalk in Venice without my mom quoting the toolbox killer antics…
