The farm shops I grew up with in the US were really good, Fred. And we traded/bartered for stuff.... in scale and canned, froze, or otherwise preserved stuff for pennies on the dollar for what was being sold in the supermarkets. But here is different.... the Chains are the lifeblood for farmers, and the Chains pay them next to nothing.... so instead, the farmers continue to fuck over the local shoppers to make up for it... it's all rather cut throat
