There is a reason they don’t sell in most of the world. I say that as someone who had owned three VW products over the years (all used) but at least the old air cooled stuff was reliable.

Mercedes, Audi, BMW and, yes, even VWs lose 70% of theor value in five years. Some models 80% because they do not last and are low quality pieces of shit. So no one wants to buy a used one.

Tanks? Sorry, I'v owned a BMW and saw tons of plastic pasts fail, saw turbos cause heat and pressure issues, they are high tech but extremely fragile. Repairs cost thousa ds.

It is the same reason French and Italian cars have failed out of rhe market. Without EU protectionism they just aren’t worth buying.
