It was actually kind of funny. They asked one another who I was. One of them had met me.

Later they told my kiddo I should join in. I declined, it's mostly young folks playing video games

and it's sort of weird when a woman my age wants to hang out with young Gen Zers

Yeah, that was accidental. My kiddo forgot to disconnect when she came to the door.

i love working with young ppl they're great fun

Working with is great. Hanging out as a peer...seems weird. I know a woman like that, at it gets a little creepy.

Maybe that's just me.

i've invited students to my home a very few times, or gone with them to events and such, was always a happy experience

I am friendly with young people in my kids' lives, can interact with them well. I just don't do things with them on my own.

I hang with people my own age.

doesn't matter to me, but, there was usually a school/work/intern sort of relationship

No, it was at my kids and her friends were listening to me, her, her hubby, and some friends talking
