In India for example a builders labourer gets $3 a day which is 222.29 rupees. That $3.00 a day houses and feeds a family of 4. So someone sending home $21 a week to India keeps a family of 4 alive for a week.

I don't know about Sth Americans but someone could work it out how many American $$$ it takes for a Chilean family of 4 for a week..
