There are sure a Lotta scrooges here.

Glad I'm not one.

Fuckin' Joe tips $2 at Starbucks and feels like he is making a difference.

Hahahaha!!!!

Well, if 100 people in a shift drop in some change, yes it helps.

You can't believe, a loonie or twonie puts a smile on their faces, Prower.

And I think most people don't tip.

so I make an effort to give them something.

Joe if they all divided up that tip cup(because they do) they MIGHT get 20 bucks each.

Not even enough for a full tank of gas.

You know where the "the right" and left actually differ here? Leftists want to give raised to workers. Rightists want to bring down the costs of living so that raises will actually MEAN something.

Wages are not the problem. The fucking skyrocketing cost of living is the problem. And I dont for the life of me understand why this is such an impossible argument.

Does it somehow NOT make sense that we need to lower costs? Raising wages will NOT help. Tip jars wont help. In fact raising wages will make the problem WORSE.

I swear to god.....if we keep on this path we will see milk at 50 bucks a gallon and lefties will be arguing for a 100 bucks an hour minimum and people will be more dirt poor than ever.

He's a Canuckitani stooge that believes governments can manage wages, inflation, and the money supply...

He has no clue about the reality of life...

All the lefties think this. And they have no justification because they know it doesnt work and makes things worse.

It's why I dont believe they really care. If you genuinely care about something you want to solve it. Not do things that make it worse because you are too lazy to work together with others to solve it. Which is what they do because they are focused on competing with others, demonizing others, et.

They make it worse and ignore the problems or use the problems for more partisan demands that dont help.

Yknow historians said that was one reason Rome fell apart cuz the average person got so lazy they couldn't do anything for themselves anymore.

Yeah, like make a hamburger or brew a pot of coffee.

And what did Oblivious Joe say right before this?

We need them.

Hahahahahahaha!!!!

I do not need McPukes or Starbucks, Joe. You clueless idiot.

...actually Prowler, Starbucks and Starbucks are not really intended as substitutes for real food or wholesome meals.

They should be thought of more as once in a while or just coffee and snacks. I don't eat at those places much. But they are nice as once in a while treats.

I wouldn't wanna have them 3 very day.

But I appreciate that they are there when I need them. And when I go the service is usually quite good and fast.

So that's why I make an effort to tip when I can.

You should too.

Actually given your levels of aggression and anger you oughta volunteer to give something back like helping sick children.

Good for the soul. Make you feel better about things in general.

You tip corporate entities that don't even return those tips to their workers.... all these corporate entities do is raise prices and will you still tip these cocksuckers?

Yes you will.... because you're a dumb motherfucker.

I ordered a small quarter-pounder meal, plain cheeseburger, and 6 pretend chicken nuggets on the way to somewhere last week.

The motherfucking bill came to 21.50......

I literally got a bag of nothingness.

They've already incorporated the tip and a handy profit margin since last year...

"Pretend chicken nuggets" :LOL3:

Squish LOVES McDonald's chicken nuggets.... to my dismay. But I let it be her behavior incentive on some weeks where she turns in her unicorns for a prize. She will almost always chose McDonalds chicken nugget happy meals when I give it as an option.

She calls it "HaMcDonalds" lol

Those fucking happy meals are like 7 something. I consider that over priced garbage. They toss in apple slices and pretend that makes it healthy. Probably GMO chemical apples.

$21.50 is a pack of smokes DD. Life must be hell. Who’s a dumb fucker?

When I went to Chicago(I do have friends there I went and saw.....it wasnt really just for you know who....and yes I gave him the option of meeting for coffee or ending our private communications because its SUPER easy to get strong feelings for people via private communications and they can turn out to be total fakes... and I didnt want to go down that road)

But I bought a pack of cigarettes and it was 14.75. I was FLOORED.

I've since quit. I intend to stay quit. Ive quit many times and gone back. My daughters HATE me smoking.....so I'd face some wrath if I started again.

smokes are over 60 dollars here... they made them expensive to FORCE people to give up... 50% goes to the government in Taxes. And the covid vaccines are being forced on workers, police and nurses.

They are going to open my state next Feb so perfect fortress WA is going to "have to learn to live with the virus."

Frankly I'm starting to believe OmiCON is bullshit... it's a scare for people to get their 3rd jab.

With your hot Climate why don't they just grow their own tobacco?

They do it in places like Minnesota where it's cold most of the year.

In fact why doesn't Harry McKnackers do that?

Be a lot cheaper.

There's all these videos on YouTube which show people how to do it:

I don't smoke tho I used to way back when where a package of smokes cost $1 a pack. I just did it for fun.

I'm glad I did.
Got the experience to try it out.
Smoked a bunch of different brands.
When I had my fill, I quit cold turkey.
Never went back never had any desire to.
It was just a fad, a cheap thrill.

But now smoking is so expensive that growing your own seems to be the only way to go.

If I were a smoke addict like Harry McKnackers that's what I would do. Get free tobacco that way save thousand $.

She loves the shit.

And I get lectured about how healthy her diet is and everything in moderation and how happy meals are part of childhood and it's fine once in a while.

And I get easily made to feel bad. My mother in law of all people is the one who gave Squish that first taste. And shes every bit the healthy eater I am....so I was shocked. This is a woman who makes her own dairy free ice cream out of coconut milk. She blows hundreds(shes very well off....so shes not going to screw up her finances) seeing a nutritionist. Shes always giving me supplements. Weird hooky woo shit that's supposed to "clean my kidney" that my urologist tells me not to take lol.

I cringe when shes eating that fried chemical crap though but I do cave. I bitch at my husband when I catch him with it(wrappers in the car).

Him and my oldest daughter went through an energy drink phase I was mad about. You know the shit that's banned in other countries and can cause seizures? They knocked that off thankfully. That or they are just better at hiding it.

Oh really, both Starbucks and Starbucks?

Whatever floats your boat. I have no idea why you think I want to hear about your life, Joe.

How many times did you flunk Grade 8 anyways, Joe?

So that's why I make an effort to tip when I can.

"when I can"

So not every time, right Joe? You cheap cunt.

You should too.

When?

Actually given your levels of aggression and anger you oughta volunteer to give something back like helping sick children.

Hahaha!!! I bet I volunteer for more charities and non-profits than you Joe.

Typical Neoconservative.

Masquerade around as conservative but with none of their empathy or compassion.

There's actually a difference between conservative & Neoconservative yanno.

Actually Dovey, a major flaw in governments which keep expecting businesses to pay a higher minimum wage is that they often fail to give a corresponsing tax break to the business.

If the government hikes the minimum wage, they should cut the business's taxes.
So for every dollar the guv hikes the minimum wage, somewhere the business gets a tax break. Fair is fair.

So it becomes a revenue neutral mechanism.

I agree with you on that part. They can't expect the business to give something without getting something back. That is how mom and pop businesses start to disappear and all you have left are MacDonald's or Starbucks. So there has to be a balance.

We need to lower costs.

No raises or tax breaks is going to change anything in any meaningful way.

I also want everyone to pay LESS taxes. Our government overspends like motherfuckers and it's ridiculous, wasteful and harms us all.

When I was in my early 20s I rented an upper level apartment in downtown Rochester MI on University DR with 2 bedrooms. It was 725 a month. Today that same apartment is 1,250 a month. Costs of everything are just higher.

...cripes is that all, Dovey?

We passed that $725 mark where I live 20 years ago.

And that was for a bachelor or 1 BR

Be lucky to find a 1 BR apartment in Vancouver $2000 or less or $1500 US.

2 BR are at least $3,000 or around $2,300 USD per month.

Minimum wage goes up as a direct result of inflation.

Inflation means the government needs more money, not less.

When the government needs more money, taxes need to go up, Joe. Not down.
