No, see Reggie, you keep repeating this and Prowler has unwittingly aided in my proving how wrong you are.
. The fact is that labor migrates to where the grass is greener. If the well is dry, and the grasses brown, they leave. This is historically true in the US. Illegal laborers leave regularly, based on the market. Take away their employment and bennies options and they leave.
And as I keep pointing out, your outdated arguments regarding labor vis a vis the illegal migrant debate aren't really salient these days.
We have 30+ million illegal migrants in this country today, more than 10+ million coming in just during the 4 years of the Biden Administration. They didn't all come here to pick vegetables for two bucks an hour. Many of them came here for the freebies - healthcare, housing, SNAP and countless other social safety net programs designed for Americans that none of them contributed towards.
Look at the Somali "community" in Minnesota. Over 80% are on welfare after more than a decade here in the US, and it looks like some of them have defrauded the taxpayers out of billions of dollars.
And then there's the issue of criminality. Many millions of these illegal foreigners are straight up criminals. Do you think they stopped being criminals to hang out in Home Depot parking lots looking for jobs? No. They're still doing crime right here right now.
Did you know that the crime rates in countries like El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua have fallen on the order of 70%+ since they all exported all their criminals here? You can look it up. Trump wasn't lying when he said they emptied their prisons and mental asylums.
But you don't want ICE or BP to round them up because you think punishing the corporate moneypigs will somehow magically make all the illegal foreign nationals go back home.
