It is amazing how many restaurants from San Diego have locations in Las Vegas (not really, regulations, taxes, and a high minimum wage make it hard for small business owners here so opening up places in another near by state makes a lot of sense). Here are the best cheap eats on the Vegas strip.

In June The Palms is supposed to reopen along with four other casinos run by Station Casinos. I love the A.Y.C.E. buffet at The Palms because it is the best affordable buffet in Las Vegas. I mean a dinner buffet for $17.99 with crab, shrimp, clams, muscles, half a dozen fish options, Greek, Italian, Mongolian, pan-Asian, Latin America (great Argentine roast meats), lamb, goat, beef, pork and even rabbit and lobster for special occasions. All for a very fair price.

I have gone to The Palms many times for its buffet (which is the best reasonably priced buffet in Vegas) but I have never stayed there. I understand that in 2017 they remodeled everything so that they have what many consider to be the best standard room in all of Vegas. The only real problem is the hotel is located slightly off the strip (next to the Rio) but being owned by Station Resorts it does have vastly better odds and rules for gambling compared to Caesars or MGM which are the two giant mega corporations who dominate properties on the Vegas strip. I am going to have to stay there sometime.
