I 100% believe that. The same goes with my belief that schools should incorporate self-defence into their school curriculum, making it mandatory for girls. I also believe that instead of leaving high school and having a gap year between tertiary studies or seeking employment, that one year of basic military service to your country needs to be fulfilled first.

One of my friends from high school who joined to serve after 9/11 and was there when they took Afganistan is a woman.....shes smaller than me as well.

The Leaders failed to build up Afghan society, empower women to a degree that they were at least literate & could function in the modern world. That was definitely the failing of their male dominated patriarchal society.

To some degree that is the United States fault, because they should have set conditions under which the Afghan government would continue to receive aid. Soldiers from your own country who died in the Fight for something they genuinely believed, were trying to make the world a better place and were sold out by the Afghan government. Wasn't the West that betrayed them. It was the Afghan government.

Don't feel sorry for soldiers. They're volunteers, not conscripted and they're the bullet proof vested ones firing on the unarmed.
