I sit on my leather couch, my dog is curled up around my feet, my cat is laying on one side of my lap and is purring, my youngest son is laying on the rest of the couch with a pillow and blanket, while we take turns reading "Dragonlance Chronicles". This is a young adults book series I enjoyed as a child back on 1988 and thought it would be appropriate for him.
He seems to like the broad themes of good vs evil, good people struggling against adversity, and, of course, high fantasy adventure. Occasionally, my wife says something from the kitchen about how he is reading well and how she likes that we are spending time together. All in all, this is what a happy life is made of.
