I wouldn’t be able to afford where I live unless I inherited a property purchased in the 1940s. They bought for around $40k and I could sell right now for about $4mil. Inflation has nothing on supply and demand. Just listing this property would inevitably create a bidding war and I could end up closer to around $6mil. But I’m not selling because I’m grandfathered in.

Most of my newer commercial tenants are people returning to California, which is surprising. Vegas is about to tank… so there is that.
