Hi Lotus,Perhaps some of them could be mitigated by doing more about global warming.

Yeah, I could see that as far as hurricanes, but ones like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions might still be just as nasty, but don't quote me on that.
That's true. I didn't think of that.Yeah, who knows. I mean, fracking is known to cause earthquakes, so...

All of these things have ripple effects, many of which I'm sure we don't even know. They're tiny earthquakes, but the poisoning of the groundwater, that's horrendous.
Asheville is overwhelmingly blue and suffered the greatest extent of the storm's fury. Asheville just so happens to be 60% democrat if 2020 results are to be believed. Why does God hate the red states?

Another inconvenient fact that Roy Cooper is a democrat.
It appears God is a little more selective with his hate than you might like.
I was getting worried about Disney World, then I remembered Desantis took over the municipal functions of the park, so America's Resort will be just fine.

You don't seriously believe that a state with a budget surplus of over 4 billion dollars was rendered insolvent due to the expense of air lifting 100 Venezuelans out of the state do you?![]()
"Fema isn't giving us enough socialism!!!" Trumptardville.
The 2024 outlook, which was adopted by the Legislative Budget Commission on Sept. 6, 2024, estimates a $2.1 billion budget surplus in the upcoming fiscal year, FY 2025-26, and — without intervention — a $2.8 billion deficit in FY 2026-27 and $6.94 billion deficit in FY 2027-28.You don't seriously believe that a state with a budget surplus of over 4 billion dollars was rendered insolvent due to the expense of air lifting 100 Venezuelans out of the state do you?
You do realize that Desantis sent the Venezuelan migrants to Martha's vineyard in 2022 which therefore means the expense hit the state books in that year don't you?The 2024 outlook, which was adopted by the Legislative Budget Commission on Sept. 6, 2024, estimates a $2.1 billion budget surplus in the upcoming fiscal year, FY 2025-26, and — without intervention — a $2.8 billion deficit in FY 2026-27 and $6.94 billion deficit in FY 2027-28.
So over the last 4 years Ron Desantis has only kicked 50 cans down the road, and you feel this has improved the storm preparedness for the state? You do realize that Desantis sent the Venezuelan migrants to Martha's vineyard in 2022 which therefore means the expense hit the state books in that year don't you?
In fact, I was wrong on two counts. One, there were 50 Venezuelans as opposed to 100. Two, the state budget surplus for Florida for fiscal year 2022 was 21 billion, not 4.
I doubt strongly Desantis would have have depleted the state budget with a measly publicity stunt such as this. Avoid using that meme, it's stupid and could cause your readers to think you are just as stupid as the person who authored it.
Hope this helps.
This could get very ugly.Milton is now a category 4 hurricane. Holy cow, they're gonna get slammed again.
This could get very ugly.
Millions are in its path, and Disney World and all the other touristy stuff. Even my old Base up in Jax may be in its pathTerrible. All kidding aside, this is devastating to so many people.
Now they're calling it a Cat 5, if Trump was in charge he'd nuke that hurricane back to Africa!
Why do the weather control people hate Florida!
You do realize that Your meme was specific to the publicity stunt involving Martha's Vineyard and that is what we were discussing don't you?So over the last 4 years Ron Desantis has only kicked 50 cans down the road, and you feel this has improved the storm preparedness for the state?
