Looks and sounds nice. I suspect it'll wind up a disaster just like the needle exchange program. I said that was gonna be an epic fail 35 years ago. I was right as usual.

Needle exchange is a success. It decreased the transmission of hiv via injection drug use.

Needle exchanges are a complete disaster in cities like Seattle. It is the reason used needles are littered every where. If it was a 1 for 1 exchange maybe it could work but in reality they just hand out thousands of needles a day and the junkies dump the used ones every where so it ruins communities and risks public health.

junkies get interviewed all the time saying they still share needles. Its an epic fail concerning HIV transmission. Worse yet, its no longer a serious crime to knowingly spread HIV.

Junkies that don't do needle exchange are going to share needles, duh! Show me data that shows that needle exchange has increased hiv infection in those communities where it is available?

Sorry bitch but I watched the local CALIFORNIA news channel about 10 years ago where they interviewed junkies who admitted they're too fukin jonesing for the next high to always use a new needle and in fact share all the damned time. Why the fuck do you think they STILL use bleach sometimes to try to clean needles, BUT ONLY IF THEY HAVE IT? They're too fukin lazy for that too sometimes. FACT is, when you're an addict at the bottom rung, you'll suck AIDS dik in the middle of the street for money to buy drugs. Just STFU already with your retardation.

Which is dumb anyway because you get large bags of needles at most pharmacies really cheap. Which is what I used to do when I was using.

Yeah I can personally speak to this truth.

I was never even homeless and I never got into prostitution (had I kept going though both would have been my reality in a year so dont think I'm claiming to be any better than any other junkie). I've not only reused the same needle AND cottons enough to get cotton fever.....but I've used melted snow instead of bottled water.

It's not laziness though so much as withdrawal is so overwhelming miserable you need to end it before doing things like going into a store. Or moving much at all.

I've heard of people using public toilet water and I really think I'd rather just be miserable for a bit longer to get some actual water lol. Why not use the damn sink instead of the toilet? But people have used toilet water or their own fucking piss.

I have nerve damage in my right wrist from trying to use veins in my wrist. It still flares up on occasion. You dont give a shit about your health going through that. You just dont.

I consider testing negative for hep a real blessing. I dont know how I dodged that.

(For anyone who may not know what I'm talking about....heroin comes in a chunky powder, so you need to mix it and heat it with water, put a piece of like....q tip cotton in there and suck it into the needle through that cotton. There are already a lot of steps that are very cumbersome if you are already in full blown detox....so just say no to drugs)

I asked for quantifiable data, not some freaking local news report, ignoramus. You came up with nothing.

It's a decent temporary stop-gap. We need to address policy, housing needs to be built for the population of the State.

The problem with trying to solve situations like this is that the second you think "Phew, I helped everybody" you look behind you and there are 3x more people waiting to be helped, since they heard someone was solving the problems of all those other people.

Let's be honest, making it too "easy" for people will turn into eternal basket cases.

I wouldn't want to live in 64sq ft of space. If anyone wants to give up paying rent to go live in a tiny home, god bless I suppose.

I don't think that's accurate. However, the real issue is that housing isn't affordable because we just don't build in California anymore. Not at the rate that is necessary to keep up with the population.

Here's a good solution to the homeless crisis in Cali.

Identify all the folks who are homeless through no fault of their own and actually help them get back on their feet through meaningful assistance programs.

and the others?

March them off a fucking cliff and make the world a better place

I acknowledge that implicitly. It's the progressive elites in California that don't want to build, nimbyism. Too bad your dumbfuck ass needs a sledgehammer over the head to understand what I'm saying when I say it's "policy".

They're not MY policies, dumbass motherfucker. I don't believe in stopping housing development. I simply have no control.
Just like you have no control over the things your party has done that you don't agree with.
