The real problem in this country is that the vast majority of us aren't paying attention. But we get our ballot and choose the red R or the blue D with no little regard to who is attached to that letter. People prefer to be entertained electronically. Or be high, or go shopping. Anything to distract us from the imbalanced culture we live in, where work is number 1 and having a real life is a distant second

That chamber is just a glorified Retirement Home. Not only does it act as such it allowed at least one of them to remain in office till her death even tho she couldn'tdo her job anymore. Diane Feinstein. Senate aides said she was walking around senile yet she died as a Senator with all the honors benefits courtesy of the US taxpayer.
