That is RISK for community transmission. It's not active cases. It's not hospitalization. It's RISK.
You need to educate yourself about risk and the actual level of infection in a region. It's CNN doing CNN.
If you want infection rates as of Aug 9th of 2021 then you can find them here. You will notice they are elevated in most of the country though, so far, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Vermont, Maine, and Oregon seem to be low infection rate areas right now. I seriously doubt that will last.
What should the US do to stop Covid? Not just as a government, but as a people? What should the average Joe do?
Take the vaccine, wash your hands, social distance, and pretty much nothing else. This the new normal so get used to it.
I agree with you. It's too bad that there are millions that don't agree, especially the ones out there carrying on about their FreeDUMB.
