I prefer a big beefy rump steak if cooked correctly.... bonus if it's got prawns and scallops on it with a cream sauce and a side of steamed broccoli and mash potatoes...

The Caledonia Hotel in Port Fairy has consistently served great surf and turf steaks and seafood over the years.

Last time I was there in maybe 2019? Ish? You could get a great 400 plus gram rump steak with fresh seafood for only 24-25 bucks.... with sides.

I believe it's one of the oldest functioning pubs in Australia or was. When I looked it up for a photo, everything had changed.... obviously because of covid insanity.

If their menu is similar, I'd expect the same steak to be 35-40 bucks now....
