This post brought me back to something I experienced as an eye doctor which occurred regularly throughout my 30+ years of flipping lenses in front of thousands of patients seated in the leather exam chair. It’s crazy what makes some people tick. I remember this one politician shaking my hand for my Australian citizenship ceremony, and then a few years later he was outed for sniffing his female colleague’s seat. He did it for a laugh , but it cost him his job.
At the end of the occasional exam, the patient would stand up and I'd notice a wet spot on the chair. Not just damp and not quite a puddle but WET. It wasn't limited to a particular gender.
At times I'd find myself checking to see if one was there. I figured it was sweat but I'll never know.
