. Big win for Cats today at Georgetown. I knew this would be a tough game and it was, but the Cats showed good character down the stretch (except for FT shooting which was appalling). Acaden Lews was superb. Very nice young man too. Cats now 18-5, 9-3 Big East. Ready to crack top 25.

. Now interestingly, even though Cats won their last two games, they went down in the KenPom and RPI rankings after each. Apparently they were not quality wins.

I think the basketball ranking system is worse than the football one. Completely unpredictable at times when a high ranked team loses by a squeaker to a turd team and still they somehow keep their rank from the previous week. Shitshow.

Whatever formula they use (Net Rankings also) they do start evening out as the year goes on - looking similar.
Problem with the Cats is they have no high quality wins and have few opportunities to get one. They probably end up an 8 to 10 seed.

I don't know, if they string a good win streak and maybe get to the championship game in the conference tourney, then I can see them get a 6-7 seed. It's possible.

Big game for Cats tonight against Xavier on the road.
. It may seem like a cake walk but the two teams have not played yet so they aren't familiar in their present iteration. No BE team is a pushover for another. Cats looking for their 12th Conf win which is the min I thought they could achieve this year. I though 14 possible but now depending on this game, even 15 is not out of the question (16? - whoa!)
