The prices of previously cheap buys... My push lawnmower packed up and died due to rodent mischief (they chewed off the plastic cover of the air filter to chew on the air filter, tried to make a nest inside the motor, then gave up and abandoned it for random bugs to do it easier.) There's no compression. Tried ever trick in the book... it's toast and not worth pulling apart...

Briggs and Stratton motor and it lasted 16 years though...

So I go online looking for a replacement. I'm thinking,... it was 200 bucks back then... it should be 300-325 bucks now with normal inflation.

The only push mowers in that price range are cheap communist Chinese allied companies with really bad reviews. The LDV or Great Walls of push mowers... thank you but no very fucking mulch!

But I don't really need a pushmower except for detailed mowing around the immediate house, so I started searching for powerful whipper snippers. Good luck with that. Australia has gone Commiefornia! So I said to myself... just get a quality all in one whipper snipper with slashing blade capability.

Honda still sells them here.... but fuck me running... check the prices out on this one.

So I got on an online marketplace and purchased a 25 year old mower that is promised to run, and from an older gentleman nearby, for only 28 bucks USD.

Modern humans and wares are doomed. I firmly believe that.

We even plant inedible foliage around our abodes that require constant and costly maintenance while our councils ban natural lawn mowers like cloven footed beasts that are funny as fuck to watch being retarded, and they're edible and very tasty when they stop being amusing or produce new offspring.
