It's the Siberian wilderness, supposedly the guy was told not to go there alone, because it's so isolated, but went anyway.

Math proves that Earth is a sphere. It proves a lot. What's incredible to me is that the ancients figured some of these basic things thousands of years ago, but modern man questions it.
