He's okay with men talking about little boys like that. He thinks it's fine.
Projecting now after you've made dozens of excuses for a guy who uses pictures of children as his avatar and thinks of little girls in the context of sex toys?

How is being retired being a "public parasite"?

Guess you have a be a little older to understand what "retirement" is, or means.

And tying that as an assumption to your bias just shows your bias, not much more.

You seem intelligent to me. I wonder why you squander it so easily? I get that having your buttons pushed can make you reactive, but real discussion is a thoughtful exchange of ideas, not insults.

That's how I roll anyway.

What is Parasitism | Definition of Parasitism
A parasite is an organism that lives on or inside another organism, called the host, and gets its nutrients from the host at the host's expense

A retiree does indeed draw their living from the government do they not? And the government is a steward of tax payer dollars in this context are they not? So yes, anyone who's being fed financially by such a system is a parasite to that system

Your position is as common as it is reasonable but it is flawed for this reason: your argument attempts to attack the reality of the issue with the morality of the issue. This is flawed reasoning on your part as we are both in agreement that morally speaking one should be entitled to draw from a system they have paid into previously.

This does not however, distract from the fact that presently, in the absence of continued payments into this system, the recipient, for all intents and purposes is a parasite since they are in fact sucking their very existence off the productivity of others.

I don't know where you come from but where I live I started paying for my retirement out of every single fucking paycheck I ever earned. 8.5 percent. I've done the math on that. Even using 6% simple interest what I've directly contributed from my own pocket since I was 16 (even if it was mismanaged from time to time) totals a little over 2 million dollars.

That's my money I'm getting back, and they're keeping 2/3 of it in the end. And btw, even retired I work part time and continue to pay that tithe every week. I've even taxed every year on my retirement earnings when I do my taxes. HELLO????

So, who's the parasite again? (by your definition)

Again, you are still coming at the argument from the morality side of the fence where we both agree.

Furthermore, to prop up a flawed argument you are now adding in the fact that you happen to work part time and are therefore obligated to pay some of your earnings in taxes. This is not germane to the original context of Lily being a parasite as she has made no such claim in this thread. Therefore, in the absence of continued payments today, she is in fact, a parasite as I originally suggested.

this is the reality of the situation.

Now, has she, and yourself earned the right to be a parasite? Absolutely. But you are parasites none-the-less and if you remove the emotional tethering to this word somehow being derogatory you will see that for yourself.

Why would you agree with such a ridiculous assessment? I am no where near the age where I too can enjoy the benefits of public parasitism.

C'mon man, you are better than agreeing with some idiot like seamajor. The guy is so irretrievably stupid that I would remain hesitant to agree with him if he stated the sun rose this morning without first going outside to see for myself.

I agree with people when I see what they are saying is correct.

You may well be ripped off by this ponzi scheme, but that doesn't change the fact that some taxes get me roads and buildings, while others get me retirement. I may not like socialism, but it certainly functions in this society and government.

All depends on how it's managed or mismanaged.

You really have to start thinking outside the box.

Travel along the Garden state, route 1, 46, 80 or 95 for more than 5 miles and tell me if you see feel that way.

Now don't get me wrong, I understand completely that these roads are subject to some extreme conditions up here in the northern hemisphere but to have the same construction project exist as if it were stuck in time for decades? While BILLIONS is carted off to fund the industrial war complex via proxy wars we instigate? No way.

Some socialism in a society isn't bad. what ever gave you the idea I was against social security? To the contrary, I have family members who are benefactors of such an institution and I would be highly upset were they not able to draw from a system they contributed to for that would be clear and shameless theft.

But they remain parasites to the system that supports them none-the-less.

Oh, and you are not going to like this but I think in the interest of transparency I should inform you that ALL Public parasites who are not paying into the system at present should lose the ability to vote as their interests and objectivity as to what is best for the country as a whole are compromised by their parasitism.

I agree with your sentiment. It parallels mine. I think I just disagree with your terminology.

On what basis do you say that? You really have no way of knowing what anyone else's financial situation looks like without being told -- and even if you are told, how can you be sure you're being told the truth?

How can you even be sure my answer will be honest?

For all you know, I might be a U.S. Senator, Jack might be an A-List actor, Lily might be a research director at a pharmaceutical company working to weaponize bacterial vaginosis... you really have no way of knowing.

Oh, thanks for explaining that.

Now that I know you are up to speed.....

We will see how well.

You handle.

Thank you. I started paying into SS @ 16. Add in Union benefits starting @ 21. Guess We were lucky enough to think about the future.

Do not believe his math.

Unless his income was very high, he is bad at math, or lying through his teeth.
