Protein isn't the same as meat. Bean curds and tofu may do the nutrition job, but nature's gravy dripping down your chin is satisfying.

Turkey burgers suck, and I swap burger for turkey a lot of times. They too dry. Turkey tacos are good, same with turkey in Hamburger Helper and turkey sloppy joes (almost like BBQ chicken), but for things like chili, spaghetti, meatloaf, ya have to use burger.

Those are fried salmon patties, my mom made those too. She use the canned salmon? I also add egg and a lil milk to mine too.

Goes good with fried taters, pinto beans and corn bread.

When I fry fish, its normally fried catfish or fried salmon. The salmon I'll cut into tenders, then I dip in milk, bread with House Autry seafood breader, then garlic salt, pepper and Cajun seasoning. Dont think I've had haddock, but think I've had Cod once a long time ago.

The Oreo wasnt too sweet, not like I imagine a Mars bar lol, but I bet that was interesting. I've heard of a deep fried honey comb, would like to try that.

The Goddess insists that west coast salmon... like coho... far surpasses Atlantic salmon for taste. Then she slathers it in rub, butter, and lemon, which makes it taste like fishy rub, butter , and lemon. I eat it anyway.

This evening on the porch the Goddess and I heard a metal on metal crunch, then another one seconds later. The fire department came, an ambulance and a fire rig, and we walked down to look. One of our neighbors had taken out most of a 5 row bank of mail slots with his truck., nobody else apparently involved. The driver wasn't on the scene, and the responders didn't seem too busy except for clearing debris. We're both at a loss to figure out what the fuck happened, but like in most similar situations, I figure alcohol was involved.

There was a restaurant in San Francisco circa 1970, Jack Tar's I think, that served exotic meats, for a price. Elk, antelope, ostrich... and holy shit, lion. Not sure how they got away with it, but there it was on the menu. I think it's still there, but more of a bar.
