You get it all the time, jack. I've witnessed it.
For some folks, it's simply the 'go along, get along' thing because the peer pressure of their personal social settings precludes expressing anything other than what validates the prevalent "group think" of the social circle, for others it's a genuine ideological mania. See Lotus and that frightened Annie Condom girl for examples of that. For yet others, it's a "contrarian" thing. I put Admin in that category. And then there are those that are just argumentative bitches like Lily.
I'm not here to change anyone's mind on politics, but I do enjoy mocking and ridiculing the simple-minded.

Yes, jack does at least look at other viewpoints, but he falls into the first category I listed above. He swims in his daily life in a pool of TDS Hysteria. Everyone in town hates Trump, after all, so why shouldn't he. You can see it in a thread such as this that is dominated by fellow TDS sufferers.
Lotus, on the other hand, is a true ideologue. She can't really help it since we all are products of when and where we came up. There were a lot of drugs and communist filth infecting the West Coast when Lotus grew up there.
I'd cite a line of a Tennyson poem that Lotus might appreciate, but the reference might have been erased from her mind since old Alfred was a pasty white guy and all, and I wouldn't want to embarrass her with her own ignorance ... again. I know she hates that.
