Stay indoors as you've been doing

Do not assume what I have been doing, you hopeless twat.

I have not been going to restaurants.

But I have been going out to the houses of friends and family, and friends and family come over to my house. In an average week I would say we have 1-2 games nights and I always have at least one music jam per week.

Imagine the real tears when these videos are posted

I actually will probably cry.

We had out Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, and Arizona trip totally booked in 2020 when the travel restrictions hit.

Air B&Bs booked, hotels booked, flights booked, a couple Vegas shows booked, convertible rental car booked....

It was gonna be a heck of a trip....

Yeah. It took a long time for the airline to refund; initially they gave a credit that we had a year to use. Then if you requested a refund of cash, they gave it to you. It took months and months to process though. And the car rental I did through Red Tag (or maybe it was some other discount brokerage...I forget for sure) so it was a bit of a pain in the butt to get the refund, but the car rental company was one of the big ones and they forced Red Tag to give us the refund. Some of the smaller car companies did not have that leverage and the end customers who were with them were shit out of luck.

It took me about 5 months to get my 4,000.00 refund. I was pissed

the delay was blamed on covid of course

Yeah I’m thinking of Switching to pampas in Vegas and Fogo at some other time here in Florida

still undecided

The good thing about Brazilian steakhouses is that the food is simple but good.

Even here, you can't go wrong with them. When they start fucking up, they go broke quickly because people never go back there again. Too many options. So you know their food is always good.

There was a Brazilian "rodízio" in my city a few years ago. It was open a year or two before I tried it out. I had been planning on trying it for a while because I love BBQ and sometimes I like to pig out.

It was probably the most disappointing dining experience of my whole life. A big part of that is because I had been anticipating it for a while and I had such high hopes. I had a bunch of different types of meat all served fresh off the skewer. But everything was dry. It was like they were afraid to under cook the meat, so they overcooked everything. And all the side dishes in the buffet were only so-so.

I will have to make my way to one that is better some day.

The unvaxxed in my province have been restricted from dining out for a while now. They are supposed to be lifting restrictions on March 1. If they do, I will be hitting a lot of my favourite restaurants around here pretty quickly. We have done some Take-out. but it is never as good. My wife is a great cook, but there are so many meals that you really need the chefs who specialize in those dishes to prepare them.

I know what you mean. Brazilian bbq is tricky if you going to serve it to many people. If ithe meat stays too long over the fire, it dries out and it becomes tough as rubber.

If they put too much meat and people don't it, it dries out. If they don't put enough, people have to wait too much for their bbq.

That's why the places that have lots of patrons are better, the meat doesn't have time to become too dry because people consume it fast.

And the food, well, I imagine it's pretty hard to have a Brazilian buffet in Canada, unless you have access to all the typical foods we eat here. They probably buy low-quality products to offset the importing costs.

Dude, you need to take your girl for dinner at the Eiffel Tower or at least Mon Ami. Personally, I like sitting at the outdoor patio at Mon Ami watching the people go by while having an awesome dinner. Their French Onion Soup is maybe the best I've ever had. The bone in filet mignon is great too. Get it with the pom frites. (french fries)

The ones i've been to don't go past medium (if that) and anyone who wants it cooked past that can go to the cooking station and have it cooked further.

Why anyone would ruin a steak by going past medium is beyond me. I've always said that cooking a steak well done means the cow died for nothing.

In New York, in the more exclusive steakhouses where myself and other upper echelon folks in my industry would have our company expensed power lunches if you dared to order your steak well done the room would go silent for a good 10 seconds -and I'm willing to bet the chef kicked around your hockey puck on the floor for a good 5 minutes before putting it back on your plate -- cause, well, you wouldn't know the difference anyway.

and don't even get me started on what would happen if you happend to pull up to valet parking in anything beneath an Audi A6

I basically eat mine seared.

Why isn't there any Gambling at Trump International in Las Vegas?

The story goes like this.

First, remember that when Trump International opened in Las Vegas, Trump was not our president.

Back in the 80s, when Atlantic City was in its heyday, Donald Trump was the big shot in that city. He carried a lot of clout. He had a tremendous amount of influence and the major resort of Atlantic City, Trump Taj Mahal. During this period,. a Las Vegas casino owner by the name of Steve Wynn decided he wanted to open a resort casino in Atlantic City. The only problem he ran into was his inability to get a gaming license. Seems Mr. Trump used his considerable influence to make sure his rival did not get the gaming license. He was successful. Mr Wynn was denied his gaming license.

So he scrapped his plans and focused on Las Vegas — selling his ownership of the Golden Nugget downtown and first building the Wynn Resort, followed by the Encore Resort. Both of the Resorts set new standards in the resort industry — a standard that all the other resorts try to match.

Now fast-forward 25 years. Atlantic City is a ghost town — a shell of its former glory. But Las Vegas has continued to grow and prosper. Enter Mr. Trump and his massive ego. He breaks ground and is building the Trump International. This is originally being built and sold as a high rise condo complex. But the economy and real estate in particular are in the tank, meaning no buyers. So it was converted into a hotel. What does a hotel in Vegas need.? A casino, of course. First order of business is that gaming license. Well, some people don't forget the past. And you guessed it — Mr Wynn, who is the man in Las Vegas, decided to show that turn about is fair play. He used his clout and influence and returned the favor. Mr Trump was never able to procure his gaming license.

That is the true behind-the-scenes reason why the Trump International in Las Vegas has no casino.

"Trump is gud negotiator"
