An hour or so after your sunset, go outside look into the sky to the north...you might not see much with the naked eye....but your cell cam will capture the vivid colors.

I feel like I'm the only one who didn't see it. I went outside at the right time. There are a lot of trees here and maybe the landscape had something to do with it. I'm on a hill but there are higher hills around me. Also, light pollution might have been a factor.

I was outside a little earlier in the evening and heard Dallastown High School's drum line practicing. They sounded pretty good and tight.

You absolutely have to get away from the light pollution.

My wife and I went out last night at about midnight and drove about 10 minutes out of the city (we live on the edge of the city and if we go West there is no other major city for a very long way....it is all farmland and forest.

Once we got to the country, we saw the Northern Lights really well. We watched for about 45 minutes...they were there the whole time...quite vivid for about 15-20 minutes....really, really vivid for about 4-5 minutes where it was bright green and bright red.
