I have had a couple of luxury cars over the decades. Last one was a Legend. It was great to drive but in the end, more trouble than it was worth. The smallest little thing needing replacement would cost 350-1000 bucks for what normally would cost 50-250 bucks on common passenger cars with similar appointments.

And you mean AWD, not 4 wheel drive.

No thanks. I'll stick with my 7 year old diesel 4x4 ute that has yet to clock 100k's or require anything but the 6 scheduled services its had over the years, and one set of new AT tyres.

I found you couldn't keep your eyes off the damn things because either people would wanna touch em, sit onem, key em or steal 'em.

So...an expensive car is just like abeautiful woman or an expensive work of art.

They were jes a big fuckin headache.

At the end of the day ya gotta find a private garage to store em, with gated security etc.

So the car alone is just one componeent. The mainteancne and storage of the damn thing is high.

My ST500 was only a Fiesta but a rare and fast one and people, mainly teenagers were always fucking inspecting it and touching it, fuckin pissed me off and someone tried to rip the mudflaps off it so I get your point but I'd go throw all that again to have a gorgeous, powerful car...

They def have a cool factor you cant even get with a Lambo. Cost about the same tho. I did a 66 GT350 years ago and when I test drove it, it nearly caused 2 accidents from rubber neckers.
