There are quite a few people like that out here. Though, I feel the need to state that if your biggest thing on a forum is being validated by others, well then that person should never be allowed near a forum again.
I see nothing wrong with being on positive terms with a forum owner, though you might be mistaking "friendship" with favor asking.
