Do you think there is still much of a market for vintage games & hardware that run on old computers such as the Amiga @Alticus ?

Do people still buy & use these older computers to run old games?

Even the younger crowd...for nostalgia sake?

Here's a partial list of Amiga Stores or dealers which still sell the Amiga computer, games or parts worldwide @Bastard Factory -

The biggest followers of this vintage computer & its software/games seem to be located in Europe.

Hi Joe

There's a market for almost anything these days because of the internet. Although I haven't encountered anyone yet that's into that vintage stuff, I also haven't been actively trying to locate anyone that's into that stuff either, but I'm pretty certain that there are many folks out there interested in collecting the hardware and games so they can play the older titles they enjoyed growing up or simply miss playing from a long time ago in their lives.

People collect all kinds of stuff these days. It's not a stretch to believe that vintage computer hardware and games would be included. I would say do some serious research online and you will probably find some folks who are into vintage gaming whether it's for a computer or console.

Ebay seems to have some of what you are talking about:

This site also deals in that stuff too.

it turns out the folks we had dinner with last night...one of them was a developer for atari, and he wrote the code for a few of the 2600 games. He had an iPad notebook and showed me some of the code. It was really an eye opener how simple it was.

One of the upcoming projects I'm doing is building a mini stand-up arcade machine along with code for about 20 games, so it was inspiring.

I made a "gaming box controller" with arcade buttons and joysticks...I did not paint it all fancy like that...but I can put it on my keyboard tray and use it for action arcade-like games. They are legit arcade buttons and joysticks, so you can really pound on them!

The inside of the box is the circuit board from a gamepad controller wired-up to all the buttons and joysticks.

That sounds pretty cool.
