Between episodes of Remastered Star Trek, sipping on Four Roses Small Batch, wishing a slow, painful death on a publisher who hasn't paid any of us on staff since September 21st, which was payment on the August 28th invoices. September 28th and October 28th invoices total $3K owed to me at least, no idea what anybody else's receivables come out to. (Not my business, they don't tell me, I don't ask 'em.)

But until that $3K is paid, still stuck on this refurb 2013 base model iMac.

Lol, I honestly dont ride the clutch much, 95% Im on the interstate. I think something else is going. Here is the history, about 2-3 years ago, the synchros and bearings were going out in my original trans, an NV3550. Took it to Aamco to let them rebuild it, for $1600. I take a week off work, and Wednesday at the end of the day, they tell me parts are hard to find and expensive, since its a discontinued model, and that for another grand they would get me an already rebuilt one and still have it ready by Friday. I said fuck it, my biggest mistake. I got vibrations right away on the interstate, but they told me "its an old Jeep". They had put a new trans mount on, but it was super rigid, and its suppose to be rubber. So I swapped that out, and that helped a lot, but still have some vibes. Maybe front driveshaft u-joint. I've already replaced all the others. I also noticed some gray paint got transferred from the trans to my bellhousing, so it made me suspicious of what was going on too. 8 months go by, that trans almost dies. They installed another, under warranty. 4-5 more months went by, and it almost dies too, but they said the warranty was up then. Then I said fuck Aamco, and fuck those transmissions, and got a brand new AX-15 Terminator transmission installed elsewhere. When they done that, they did the throw out bearing as well. I been hearing a bearing squeal on the interstate, but they couldnt pin point it, and now here I am with it in the shop with metal grinding noise like a TOB.

Whats wrong with yours? Mine is a throw out bearing, they replacing it Friday. Out of warranty but they gonna do it for half.

Sounds like you covered all bases and only thing I can think of is your clutch petal is to tight causing the TB to spin all the time and should have a small gap between the TB fork and bearing.
Also check your CV joint on the front driveshaft,they are great for vibration and also you never ever want a solid rear tranny mount !

PS-Check with a Jeep parts store for a good tranny shop,Aamco is ok for a auto trans but not to sure with a manual- - - - - - -good luck!

I will mention that to the mechanic about the gap! Think I might go ahead and order the Dana Spicer rebuild kit for the front driveshaft. Less than $100 and comes with a rear joint too. Upgraded joints and the centering ball.

I will NEVER go back to that local Aamco again lol. Oh I know on that solid mount, dont know what they were thinking. Suppose to be rubber, not poly. The guy doing my work is a former Master Jeep Technician of 20 years from a dealership who opened his own place years ago. Found out about him last year.

You sound like you know your stuff man. I learn a lot from Jeep forums. I've had my Jeep 13 years now. I try and fix things myself unless I dont have the tools or know how, like transmission related or something haha. I love how easy it is to work on, fuck those new Jeeps.
