It's better than shortening. Trans fats are much worse, and tamales are a once a year thing. So, we make allowances.

Totally agree. Lard has gotten a bad rap. Hydrogenated oils should be avoided at all costs when cooking.

I once went down the eviction rabbit hole and laid awake all night watching videos of people getting evicted. Like when people from court show up and just move everything to the street LOL.
It's fucking amazing. I can't imagine ever being in that situation and these people still make excuses even as their shit gets put on the curb.
The saddest ones were the ones with kids. I saw one where the older daughter was used to it and knew the drill. So sad.
