Jeez Casey,

Looks like a Brownie at the bottomI haven't been out yet this winter but here's a couple of hard water pics from last year.
Dude, when I go down my local river fly fishing I cover roughly a six mile stretch and back again from morning till dusk... That's twelve miles in and out of a river, up and down hills etc. It's not something a lazy bastard could do...Fishing is basically an admittance ones athletic life is over ... or too fat to engage in one, like Golf .
Only the most sedentary wouldn't understand that.Dude, when I go down my local river fly fishing I cover roughly a six mile stretch and back again from morning till dusk... Yeah they get Steelhead next door in BC and they also have steelhead in the great lakes but instead of migrating to the ocean after spawn the head out to the lakes
Yeah from the videos I've seen they are, we don't get them here although a fishery in Scotland did start farming strains of them to increase their fighting capabilities although I'm unsure if it was successful? Hard to judge I suppose...Are Steelhead oceanrun Rainbow?I thought rainbows, steelhead, cutthroat and Browns were native to North America?WoW - very nice. Tell us about the gear and luring techniques. Here's a nice Bull trout I'm guessing about five lbs or so. These are strictly catch and release now but years ago we could keep 2 a day.

His luring doesn't involve roofies yeh frEak !!
Bull trout are voracious predators so any lure that resembles baitfish will work. In this spot on the river the water goes from 6-8 feet down to a 20 foot deep hole so I use a deep diving crankbait. In other shallower places you can get a hook up on a large fly or streamer... Live bait in the rivers here is verboten big time.
