What’s happening in the musical instruments industry?

Companies make instruments. They go through distribution channels and eventually they are bought by the end-consumer.

@Scooter you’ve got a g&l too don’t you?
Yes and I love it. I’ve always had an eye on G&L because for whatever reason, I didn’t want to buy a Fender. I’ve always liked the tele body shape. I went to the local small music store to look at another guitar and I didn’t like it but the tele was sitting there and I picked it up and it felt perfect. It’s Korean. The previous owner took good care of it and replaced the pickups with Seymour Duncans. $400 with a hard shell case.

If this is true, it won’t affect me because I don’t need to buy another guitar. However, I would hate to see some of these longstanding companies and manufacturers fall by the wayside.

That’s my reaction, sad sign of the times.
What kind of amp do you use? I’ve been using a 40 watt Spark amp. It was a stupid purchase because I only use it for its basic functions. I have a Fender Deluxe 85 that was sort of given to me. That’s too much and it’s why I bought a little Kustom practice amp and that’s all I really need.
