I'm certainly not a leftist.

When I say I support socail safety nets my hopes for that is we have better managed programs. Case by case actually helping people.

It'll never happen. But I'd like to see it happen.

I DO cook and bake from scratch and a very clean house. Other than that I'm spicey. My man tells me I have a "porky mouth" lol. Anytime I talk back or get sarcastic he says "are you being porky mouth?!"

Sooner or later you'll find yourself thinking....."goddamn. Dove was right!" LOL.

Social safety nets will always be fraudulent and leveraged by the governments that peddle them as tools to secure votes and affect social issues.

Safety nets are also immoral. You want to help someone, help your neighbour in need.

Well that's what I mean. That's how the state SHOULD work. On a case by case basis with targeted help with better managed systems.

Deal with the actual issues an individual has that have them stuck. Need a car? Let's handle that. Need employable skills? Let's help that happen. Medical crisis? Let's handle it.

Its never going to work how I'd like to see it work.

I know the way it is right now it does harm and keeps people dependent on the state. They CANT get ahead because they'll get penalized. There are mothers who are on section 8 and they dont let their teenage kids get jobs and work while living in the house because it will cause the mom to lose her section 8.

How on earth is that HELPING anyone?

Personal responsibility. Don't fuck unless you're in a stable marriage, save for a rainy day, and work your arse off no matter what. Those three things would cut down need 90%. Your neighbours will help you for the rest.... not taxation.

After i had my first child and I left my toxic marriage i got a job but still needed some help so I used food benefits for that first year. And I had WIC.

And I realized that if I didn't have the taxes coming out of my pay checks....I wouldnt even needed the food card. If you added the taxes for a month from my paychecks....that was pretty much what I got in food benefits lol.

It was so stupid. I avoided welfare like the plague because was terrified of getting trapped on it. Thats what I see happen. People depend on that and get stuck on the system.
