What's for Dinner Tonight?

I'm making braised mid loin lamb chops in a dutch oven with rosemary, garlic, tomatoes, onion, celery, red wine, and a beef stock.... set to simmer real low for 2-3 hours in the oven.

I overshopped last week on the perishables, ran out of fridge space, so fired up an Engel camp fridge.... then subsequently forgot the chops were in there closer to the bottom out of sight.

They passed the sniff test.

As long as there ain't maggots on them, they should be fine.

Drove my Miata up to Pt Arena yesterday. So far the freshest fish and chips ever. Ling cod is by far the best. Toured the old Light house. A beautiful September day in NorCal.

Going to do a big greasy barbecue fry up... chorizos followed by lamb chops, rump steaks, corn on the cob, potato slices, beetroot, broccoli, onions and garlic.

I'll be making a roast pumpkin, fennel, and onion soup with ginger, coriander, and yogurt. And probably pizzas with leftover kransky's, ham, and some mushrooms and kalamata olives.
