No, Joe. Wrong. The penalty for setting something on fire or breaking a window is NOT execution. The basis of criminal law in the US is innocent until proven guilty, and before a death penalty is applied, there must be due process of the law. Kyle was a vigilante, not an officer of the law. Furthermore, there is no death penalty for setting fires or breaking windows, whether the accused is tried and found guilty or not.

Actually Dovey, after I reviewed those videos of the Kenosha incident I'm inclined to think Rosenbaum deserved to die. And it wasn’t even because he attacked Rittenhouse but because he tried to light the gas station on fire. And if the National Guard was there instead of Kyle they might have gunned down Rosenbaum if he'd tried the same stunt on them. While Kyle is not entirely innocent he was not the instigator of the Kenosha incident. Given what R was up to he could have killed a Lotta people. Rosenbuam was a terrorist. Rittenhouse may have done the right thing by getting that fire put out.

As for Ashli...well she may have gone in the Capitol building unarmed but she also smashed the window and tried to break in. So like Rosenbaum she was the author of her own fate.

I didn't say he was a good guy. That is NOT the point. American jurisprudence is based on the tenet that vigilante justice is ILLEGAL. We, the people, do not get to run around killing other people because we've decided they're bad. It's a crime to do so.
