1. Tolerance is not a virtue.
2. Never let your enemies set your rules of engagement.
Actually, tolerance IS a virtue. But only when we tolerate people based upon differences not tolerate violence & wrongdoing.
This is where I feel the left and the right are at an impasse.
Because the right will blame the person doing the thing for being reponsible for the thing being done.
The left won't blame the person.
This is why as liberal as I am on abortion, I still lean right because when someone shoots someone I blame the shooter, not the gun.
Human beings have intelligence. So when we blame systemic racism, capitalism, or the second amendment, to me it just seems like horseshit.
I don't have alcohol abuse disorder. I clearly just choose to DRINK TOO FUCKING MUCH.
The left are like Al Pacino as Satan in The Devil's Advocate. Guilt is just a suitcase full of bricks. God wants you to carry the burden and deal with it, but Lucifer says put it down and walk away and who gives a fuck who pays for your mistakes?
The problem is, if we as intelligent beings blame all our shit on richer people than us & racisms & systems & disorders & all other inanimate shits, then we are basically saying with all the intelligence evolution has given us, the only thing we are doing with it is creating newer and ever more lame excuses.
And I'm not all about that. If I get fatter, I don't blame processed foods, western diets and sugar conglomerates. I'm the one stuffing my own face with more calories than I can burn and sitting around drinking beer & posting when I need to put my fat ass on a treadmill.
