When i look back now.............
I killed a baby squirrel with a 20 gauge. Adult sized tail but tiny body. Just saw a few inches of tail hiding on the other side of a tree. Aimed, cross threw a pebble, and let him have it. When I saw how small and the suffering, put down real quick, but felt so bad still.

It was when I was 14, @Oliver Shagnasty .... I was keen to get squirrel meat for a big pot of stew. I was a squirrel terminator going out every day just to get 8-10 to make a huge squirrel stew. There were no internet tutorials at the time. I learned from trial and error. I never relished the killing but always the prey... but that little squirrel fucked me up and in a good way. That little squirrel said to me "hey, you’re out of control". Then I remembered getting bit by a squirrel when I was 6-7 years old, and I just knew it was a happy advance of karma that few ppl get. I didn’t hate squirrels. I loved them... but they were still tasty.
