actually X my understanding is that's a Hebrew vowel. it makes a long fowel (like E) a short vowel like eh. Its used directly under the letter.

Doesn’t say letters are being used or vowels, says a PLUS SIGN meant to mean addition is being replaced by another symbol because the original is to much like a Christian cross
