Traditional AC's draw big on power. Plus you need 25-35% more power than they require to get them working at the start.... it's why you should invest in a Zerobreeze or cheaper knock off. I've had one for years.

If all you're worried about is losing power for a few days, save yourself a shitload of money. Get a 200-300 watt solar panel blanket, a controller, 200-300 ah lipo4 battery, a few 12 volt fans, LED light strings, and a bucket for washing your clothes and dishes.

With a cheap 1000-1600 watt petrol generator, it's enough Rancid..

Turn off the lights when not needed, turn off power points when not in use, don't leave appliances connected.... the electric bill halves

Look out for old treadmills too.... the motors can be repurposed for wind or hydro electric if you have a river or creek.
