Yes within an hour, which for around here is considered "right around the corner".

Also within striking range is Corinth and Nafplio.

I've been to Mykonos, that one and Santorini are the most well known and considered the places to go but they're over rated in my opinion and expensive.

Besides Mykonos, I've been to Crete (hiking, scuba and horse riding), Samos (next to Turkey- my wife is inheriting an apartment there) Patras and a few others. We're trying to get to a few each year.
