A Goodwill-affiliated thrift shop sells out of donated clothes people are willing to pay money for.

The manager, being greedy and none too bright, decides to torch what's left for the insurance. Being, as noted, a bit of a dumbass he miscalculates the amount of accelerant needed and blows the place up instead.

Several units of an assisted-living facility located next to the shop are severely damaged and the two units closest the explosion are knocked down entirely.

The residents of the destroyed buildings, both very elderly gentlemen, happen to be taking baths when the walls fall in on them. Scraped, cut, and bruised but otherwise uninjured the fellows crawl out of their respective debris piles.

Other residents and a growing crowd of people who come running when they hear the explosion hurry to the aid of the old men but stop and recoil when realizing that the guys are bare-assed naked.

Between bouts of retching and screaming in agony while clawing at their own eyes the crowd finally impresses upon the two old fellas that they need to cover up- the sooner the better.

Their dressers and closets having been buried under several feet of broken 2x4s sheetrock and insulation the gentlemen are forced to pick up and wear various items of unsellable clothes launched into the area by the explosion.

And that's how the first EMS unit to arrive at the scene finds them...
...standing next to each other with the little hair they've still got sticking out in damp dirty spikes; wearing mismatched pants and shirts either a size too big or a size too small and of colors so hideous that it actually hurts to look at them.
