They will all pay the market rate. If they cannot attract enough talented workers than they will either improve pay or improve working conditions in order to attract the needed talent.
This is one area where I will disagree. The market can (and should) dictate wages.
But what happens when we import more workers than we need? What happens if we import them under various schemes like H-1B1 or our Temporary Foreign Worker program? What happens if you let millions of beans hop across the border?
This is also entirely true. Supply and demand is an absolute law of economics so if they inflate labor supply by endlessly bringing in cheap labor.... Wages go down. That is the whole point of it. Yes, this harms native workers by depressing their wages. Governments do this intentionally to the benefit of businesses and to the detriment of workers.
Do you notice how the far left is always open borders thus depressing worker wages? They lie and claim they are helping workers all while actually decreasing worker incomes and driving up costs of living.
You're incredible. Yes, on paper the "left" is pro-immigrant, but in reality, business in general (which consists of many, many righties) is pro cheap labor, no matter where it comes from. You may remember that Reagan was the last president to give amnesty to millions of undocumented immigrants. Yeah, that was because he was doing it for business.
And yes, illegal immigration does depress wages in the US. This is why I am not for open immigration, and one of the reasons why I AM for forcing multinational companies to pay living wages in every country they operate in (I am also in favor of this simply because I do not believe in the exploitation of any human being. I believe all humans should be paid enough to live decent lives).
Bottom line: Big Business is screwing orkers aaround the world. Fine them and tax them unti lthey knock it the fuck off.
