The meme is a strawman.
1. Absolutely no one anywhere refused to serve homosexuals. It's a complete misrepresentation from people who literally brag about being the enlightened ones, who lecture US on how "not everything is black and white"(as it suits them) and tries to pretend they understand context and nuance.
No one refused SERVICE to homosexuals. The issue was decorating a cake for a same sex wedding. In fact each Christian baker offered to sell the cakes to go be decorated somewhere else. They very politely decline that particular request, on the basis that they genuinely believe marriage is a God ordained covenant between a man and woman. A marriage is a reflection of the relationship between Christ and His church. This is why the church is called the "bride of Christ".
Marriage means different things to everyone. It doesn't mean the same thing to religious people that it does to secular people.
You wouldn't have been able to get a "Happy Divorce" cake from those bakers either. Or a "Happy Extra Marital affair" cake. Or a "Congratz on your first porn" cake.
Marriage is not simply a legal agreement to religious people. It is absolutely a spiritual union joined by God. And according to God, has to be between a man and woman.
And this isnt saying the government cannot allow it. This is saying that religious people according to their beliefs cannot participate in anyway. So if you have a genuine Christian who is living thier life according to Christ, and you try to force them to chose between thier business and God? You are a statist bully and the ONLY reason to even push that is to be cruel, spiteful and subjugate people to your will. People who do this are shit people. Absolute shit.
If someone has beliefs you do not support? Go give your money to someone whose beliefs you DO support. You dont violate the rights of other people by trying to force to comply with you. Its authoritarian. You have no right calling anyone else hateful when you intentionally bait and try to destroy peoples lives because you dont agree with their beliefs and lifestyle.
That is the opposite of tolerance. If you want a truly diverse and tolerant society....which leftists dont, they want control and to punish those different....you have to deal with the reality that there are going to be people who live lives you donr approve of.
Leave those people the fuck alone and go support the ones you do approve of.
2. Absolutely fucking no one accused business owners of violating their rights. They are saying STATE MANDATES are a violation of their rights. The state closing down or threatening to close down businesses unless they mandate masks is a violation of their rights. Not individual business owners requesting it of their employees and customers.
Business owners have a right to refuse service for whatever reason they want. Its THEIR business, their rules. It has NEVER been the conservative position that business owners are violating the rights of customers. It's the STATE forcing businesses to require masks or be closed.
And anyone who doesnt like the requests made from business owners is free to go spend their money in another business.
We are the consistent ones who....in both scenarios....oppose the state imposing on business owners.
If you jack holes ever actually TALKED to people and were able to have respectful discussions instead of just spewing twisted bullshit that isnt even true you would be a lot smarter.
And we are supposed to take lectures on nuance and context from you people and you wonder why you guys are mostly a joke to us.
And also in both these scenarios its leftists using the state as a weapon to force people into compliance. Because you are a whole party of authoritarian narcissists who think you are more important than everyone. That no one has a right to live their life in a way YOU dont like, and they should be the ones to change to make you people more comfortable.
And that was probably a waste of time because this highly intelligent progressive being who can critically think so much better than us and understands complexity and nuance so much better than us cannot read anything longer than a fucking headline or understand anything not typed on a Occupy Democrats picture.
